Field stone wall

Most of the field stone walls that are scattered throughout New England were built between 1750 and 1850 by farmers clearing their fields. They were used as property lines, fences, and animal pounds. This is a part of one of the stone walls on the property of Silver Ranch, Jaffrey, NH.
