Mary Lee Ware Bridge

Miss Mary Lee Ware bought the land to save it from being "lumbered off" and in 1903 gave it to the Appalachian Mountain Club with the stipulation that the rhododendron grove and pine forest "...be held as a reservation property protected and open to the public....forever."
